"Just a small note to say thanks for a fantastic day on Saturday, we all learnt such a lot from the workshop. The children loved playing with Bruce, Lemon, Sherbert and Magic. Peanut and Cashew are finding the change in our behavior a little challenging. but we are persevering . They are both eating very well, the minute they are fed. which is amazing and so satisfying. Peanuts feet are firmly on the ground now! Again thank you so much ,we had a truly inspirational day ", Dee, Jamie and family, Milton Keynes, UK
"Two and a half years ago we attended puppy training classes with our labrador, Bear, which were fairly holistic, and we felt we had got on very well. In general, we thought we had a well behaved dog, with slight pet issues. Within half an hour of being with Darran, we began to realise, Yes our dog is well behaved, and that she is really trying to please us and cope with life; what we hadn't realized was how much we confused and worried her, and how much we needed guiding! We spent the next few hours learning how to help Bear to understand what we want through us changing our ways. We have come away, with a much better understanding of our dog, and the hope that with practice we will be able to let her know exactly what we expect and need from her. The barking uncontrollably at the door has already started to lessen, and we haven't really had to do all that much. Just change the way we view the behaviour, and the messages we send her. We all feel more able to communicate with her. We recommend Darran's methods to anybody, whether you are just starting out, or desperately seeking something that works! Bear recommends him too. Her family are finally "talking" sense! ", Sonja and Family Milton Keynes, UK

"Many thanks for the workshop on Saturday, it was great to see children and dogs playing and learning together. After years of training Scooby (not that it shows) I actually came away feeling that I had seen a difference in his behaviour. It is the first time I have ever been able to sit down with him and watch another dog jump without him being completely stupid, he actually stopped barking. I also realise that I cause most of his excitement. I loved your 'think of the behaviour and it will happen' approach. I have actually made it work. Scooby left his place under my daughters chair at breakfast and lied down at the side of the room (I couldn't think hard enough to stop him rushing in and picking up dropped bits though). I have tried to explain this one to her she has been told to think that Scooby is not after her food and wants to lie down, her response was 'Scooby wants me to think about him eating my dinner' a true telepathic bond between them I feel. "We have a German Shepherd puppy - Henya. Recognising the need for training we originally went to organised dog training sessions in Bedford but we didn't really take any value from these. We decided to try one-to-one training with Henya and on recommendation we contacted Darran. The resultant training has been superb. We have undertaken sessions with Darran in our home, where we daily walk Henya and in the local park. Training in these places has really helped all the family gain confidence in handling Henya, as we are training in places and with situations which we regularly face. Darran is extremely knowledgeable about Henya's behaviour and reactions, and has taught us to be able to judge her mood to understand what she is telling us so that we can respond appropriately. In the few months we have been working with Darran we have a different relationship with Henya - the bond between Henya and all the family is so much stronger with a greater degree of trust. Some of the simple tricks and tips Darran has taught us have been so useful and have made a huge difference in day-to-day life. We have really valued the training with Darran and will continue this into the future. ", Charles, Julie, Alex and James, Cranfield,UK
"I have found the individual dog agility training sessions to be a revelation! I own a 3 year old Border Collie, Blake, who is incredibly enthusiastic about agility but was beginning to display some bad habits. I didnt feel our relationship as dog and handler was progressing so having done some internet research I came across the Kukura website. I got in touch with Darran and I have continued to be impressed and amazed! I couldnt believe that so much progress could be made after just one session. All I can say is Darran really does understand the relationship between dog and owner. His training techniques are intuitive and practical, while at the same time sensitive to the dogs character. His ability to understand dogs and how to handle them and then to communicate what he sees to us humans is an incredible gift! I would like to thank Darran for his insight and knowledge - it has helped me build an even stronger relationship with Blake. Thank you. ", Pippa White & Blake, Milton Keynes, UK
"I have a one-year-old German Shepherd dog called Louie who essentially has the enthusiastic mentality of a puppy in an enormous body. We have attended dog training classes previously but found that as soon as we left the hall and rejoined the real world most of this new found knowledge was forgotten. We recently found Darran and the real learning and training has at last began but most importantly we are both finding the process a very enjoyable one rather than a battle of wills which was our previous experience. The intuitive, one-to-one training, takes place in our local park where Darran is helping me to see the world through Louies eyes and already, after just a few sessions, the previous battle of wills is being replaced by a rapidly strengthening bond between us and for me a rapidly growing confidence. Both Louie and I enjoy these sessions and very much look forward to our Sunday afternoons in the park with Darran.", Ellen Clegg and Louie, Marston Moretaine, UK
" Before Darran stepped in, Phoebe was impossible to go out with or keep under control. After a few, tough sessions for me, she's become a completely different dog! You can see it physically, and you can see it in her eyes too. She's a lot nicer to be around, and so much calmer. Jamie, Bedford, UK.
" We have learned so much from Dog training with Darran. From his knowledge of Collies, we now understand much more about Trevor's behaviour, and our response to it, so both dog and owners have been trained, and now have a much closer bond. From intially having little control over his behaviour, we have learned how to 'own' things and spaces in the home. Outdoors, we have particularly worked on recall, retrieval and his obsessive tendency with balls. One to one training has been escpecially effective. It is very satisfying seeing the results, with other dog owners also being impressed!", Rachel, Steven and Trevor, Wootton, Beds, UK.
"I wanted to tell you how happy we are with the ongoing training of our dog Tia. The benefit of your training has been first class, your patience and your knowledge has been a huge help giving us a better understanding of our dogs behaviour. The whole family including our two daughters have enjoyed learning about the different aspects of training and look forward to the Sunday morning sessions.( I know Tia does as well ).", Paul and Family, Cranfield, UK
